The remanufacturing process started back in 1936 but is very modern in concept. It saves vast amounts of energy and raw materials as products that otherwise would cause environmental problems if disposed of in the traditional way are re-used.

Five Star Units are distributors and fitters of possibly the finest remanufactured engines, gearboxes and turbos available. We are based in Essex and Havant in Hampshire (serving the South Coast).
Five Star is a leading UK supplier of top quality remanufactured engines, diesel and petrol , gearboxes, turbo chargers, cylinder heads and other major car, van and heavy goods vehicle parts. We can also supply new clutches through our partner business Kwikclutch.
We supply remanufactured parts for Ford, Fiat, BMW, Citroen, Honda and all other major car, van and commercial vehicle brands including all popular models.
We use one of the largest independent re-manufacturers of manual transmissions in Europe. Their range of gearbox and axle units covers most makes and models available in the U.K. and European car market. They are one of the only independent companies within the UK that has a multi-test bench facility, which means that every transmission that they re-manufacture has been extensively tested before it leaves the door.
Our main supplier of engines and cylinder heads has been adapting them to run on unleaded fuel - which reduces harmful emissions - since 1984. Their green credentials are shown by their use of a thermal cleansing oven which was installed in 1995 and totally eliminates the use of chemicals in the initial cleansing process.
